Sharper, Clearer Imaging for Surgeries
Our center’s new 4K ultra‑high‑resolution imaging system with a high dynamic range (HDR), allows surgeons to see anatomical structures with exceptional clarity. This means:
- More accurate identification of tissues and pathology
- Better precision during minimally invasive procedures
- More complete visualization with fewer instruments
Using these advanced scopes, surgeons can instantly switch between 30°, 70°, and 45° ultrawide views, allowing them to see more of the surgical area at once. For patients, this can translate into fewer scope changes, smaller or fewer incisions, reduced procedure time and potentially less postoperative discomfort.
Fluorescence (near‑infrared) imaging helps surgeons visualize blood flow, tissue perfusion, lymphatic structures, and bile ducts in real time. This gives patients:
- Better protection of critical structures
- More accurate decision‑making during surgery
- Reduced likelihood of postoperative complications related to unseen anatomy
- Less invasive diagnostics
Patient benefits include the possibility of light sedation instead of general anesthesia, same‑day diagnosis and treatment, reduced recovery time, and lower overall procedural cost.
These upgrades allow for faster setup and more consistent surgical experiences at our center. This translates to shorter times under anesthesia — a significant safety advantage for all patients, especially those with medical complexity.
The system, called PANO Vision by Arthrex, combines 4K, HDR, wide‑view, nano, and fluorescence imaging; allowing our surgeons to make better‑informed decisions at every step leading to higher success rates and improved surgical outcomes.
